Method
- Combine the coffee grounds and cold water in a French press or your chosen brew method and steep for 12-24 hours in the fridge, until deep and aromatic.
- Once steeped, press down the French press plunger or strain the coffee through a fine mesh sieve to separate the grounds, pouring the brewed coffee into a large jar or pitcher.
- Add the pumpkin puree to the cold brewed coffee and blend until smooth and well combined, creating a creamy, slightly frothy mixture.
- Stir in the pumpkin pie spice, vanilla extract, and honey, tasting and adjusting sweetness as desired. Whisk or blend briefly to ensure even distribution of spices and sweetness.
- Pour the mixture into glasses filled with ice, observing the rich, speckled appearance of the drink and the inviting aroma of spices.
- Serve immediately, garnished with a swirl of whipped cream or a sprinkle of extra pumpkin pie spice if desired, to enhance the presentation and aroma.
Notes
Adjust sweetness and spice levels to personal taste. For a dairy-free version, substitute milk or plant-based milk. For a stronger pumpkin flavor, add a bit more pumpkin puree or spice.
